There is something for everyone at Chateau Hordosse. Our 15 metre salt water, heated pool is ideal for an early morning energising swim or a quick cooling dip later in the day. It is fully enclosed and alarmed. Situated within the pool area is a large paddling pool ideal for both children to paddle and adults to sit in whilst sipping a cooling drink.
If relaxation is what you are after then why not just lie back under one of the many trees and read a book, or just listen to the peaceful sounds of this unspoilt environment.
As Chateau Hordosse is situated on two rivers, there is also the possibility to fish. The river Osse is home to trout and very popular with local fishermen. If you wish to fish, this needs to be arranged in advance as it requires a permit for a nominal fee (do let us know).
Within the surrounding area of Chateau Hordosse, one can find canoes for hire, pony trekking, an ariel assault course for children and adults and within 10 minutes drive, there is an 18 hole golf course. Within 3 kilometers, there is an outdoor activity park in the woods, with Accrobranch, canoeing, poney riding and barefoot trekking!
There are excellent, marked walking routes for all levels and local bike hire in the nearby town of Nerac.
One can also of course pass a little time tasting the local wines of the Buzet region or travel a little farther afield to taste the more famous wine of Bordeaux.
